How to create an Amazon account ?

As you embark on your Amazon journey, ready to make your inaugural purchase, it’s essential to understant how to create an Amazon account. In this article, I explain in detail and with images the various steps required to register on the site. After that, you’ll be ready to place your first order on the largest e-commerce platform on the internet.

Steps to create an Amazon account

If you’re familiar with creating accounts on platforms, here are the eight simple steps to follow:

1. Go to the Amazon website.
2. Click on “Sign in” in the top menu on the site.
3. Then click on “Create your Amazon account.”
4. Fill out the form with your name, email, and password.
5. Click on “Create your Amazon account.”
6. Access your email to retrieve the code sent by Amazon.
7. Enter this code in the email verification form.
8. Click again on the “Create your Amazon account” button.

And there you go, your registration on Amazon is complete!

The first step to register on Amazon is to go to the Amazon site in English by clicking on this link. Once on the site, click on the “Sign in” button by hovering your mouse over the “Account & Lists” menu :

The login form will appear. As you don’t have an account yet, you need to click on the “Create your Amazon account” button at the bottom of this login page:

The Amazon account creation page will open, and you will need to fill in only the following fields:

• Name
• Email
• Password (x2)

It is not necessary to provide your address at the moment.

Simply fill out this form by entering your name, email, and password that you need to type twice. Your password must be at least 6 characters long. Once you have finished filling out the page, click on the “Verify e-mail” button.

The creation of your account is not yet complete. It is necessary to validate your email address. You should have just received a verification code in your email. Copy this six-digit code and enter it in the validation form below:

After validating by clicking on the yellow button, you have completed your registration! You will be redirected to the Amazon homepage:

You are almost ready to make your first purchase. Indeed, in the next chapter, I explain how to add your personal address in your settings so that you don’t have to do it during your order.

Add an address

If the purpose of creating an Amazon account was to make a first order, which seems quite logical, then you have the option to add an address to your account. During your purchase, you will no longer need to go through this step.

To add an address, click again on “Account & Lists” in the top menu of the site. You will then access your customer space. From this space, you will have access to the following features:

Regarding adding your address, click on “Your addresses” and then on the “Add an address” button, or click on the following link.

You will then arrive at the form below. Simply fill in all the necessary details about your address (Name and surname, street, city, postal code, phone…) and click on the yellow “Add address” button:
